There are some good and some not so good news.

First, let’s start with the good news. There is a 100% guaranteed, foolproof way to keep your car from getting scratched, scratched, or otherwise damaging it.

The bad news is that this is not practical.

You don’t need a wheel finish expert to tell that scratches and dents are part of everyday driving. Accidents happen. Accidents do happen. Roads are notoriously rough. Even the most skilled drivers can run into curbs, hit potholes or become victims to the negligence of others. You can also add rain, snow, oil, grease, road salt, and other factors to make it a hostile environment for our vehicles.

What should you do if your Wheel Craft custom (tm), wheels have been damaged?

First, avoid potholes and loose gravel curbs.

Step 2: Contact Wheel Craft if you have any questions or concerns about scratches, dents, or other damage (or, in the case PVD powder/chrome coated wheels, pitting or flaking) because we can repair it.

Wheel Craft technicians have the expertise and the ability to remove the ICE (or PVD Chrome) coating on aftermarket wheels. They can also polish/smooth any imperfections caused by an abrasion, scratch, or other damage, and then reapply our finish to make them look like new.

Repair techs who only work with powder-coated wheels will sand the area and then paint over it. This technique does not promote optimal adhesion, and makes the wheel susceptible to cracking or chipping.
